Works on canvas are generally stretched onto a timber frame to provide stability for the canvas and allow it to breathe. This age old technique has been the Artists choice and is considered the standard way to present works on canvas or linen.
We have stretched large contemporary works through to more modest pieces, ready to hang on its own or have a frame added to enhance the image further. We create works to suit contemporary or traditional decors.
Our larger stretcher frames can be braced at the back to assist in maintaining a stable surface and to assist in preventing warping of the timber.
In many cases we can offer a full wrap service where the image is seen over the edges.
